Summary

In the Edo era, four members of the "Honjokata" (Honjo Office), a government office under the magistrate's command in charge of river construction and other works, are despised and called "sewers" and "slush piles." In reality, they are a special investigation team called "Fangs of Edo," and this hard-boiled period drama depicts them as they investigate and cut down evil.
